The 70th anniversary celebrations at Disneyland® Resort make it a must-visit for Disney fans of all ages. Halloween Time has begun with the Oogie Boogie Bash, but don't miss the festive Día de los Muertos celebration. From August 22 to November 2, 2025, Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure® Park honors the Day of the Dead, featuring Mexican folk songs, traditional cuisine with a Disney twist, and exclusive souvenirs. Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure® offers fun activities that celebrate family and Día de los Muertos.

The Musical World of Coco by the Storytellers.

This year's Plaza de la Familia celebrates Coco's music with enchanting songs. The Storytellers honor the tale through beloved tracks like “Remember Me,” “The World Es Mi Familia,” and “La Llorona,” highlighting the bonds of family.

Miguel Photo Opportunity

Capture adorable photos with Miguel, the beloved hero from Coco, now available as a beautiful, hand-animated figure.

Memory Wall and the Tree of Life (Mexican Árbol de la Vida)

Craft a touching tribute by inscribing a remembrance note on the nearby Memory Wall, honoring the countless cherished individuals who have shaped your life and will forever hold a special place in your heart.

Decor and Crafts at Paradise Gardens

Create a vibrant alebrije mask inspired by Pepita or Dante from Coco. Alebrijes are colorful sculptures that showcase imaginative creatures.

Celebrate Día de los Muertos with the Disney Pixar Coco collection. Get the Dante Coco Sipper, honoring Miguel's companion, along with new apparel and accessories inspired by the film “Coco." Purchase the sipper at theme park restaurants.

Nothing brings family together like good food, right? The Day of the Dead celebrations are even more special with a tasty Plaza de la Familia menu. Everyone, from kids to adults, can enjoy delicious dishes offered by restaurants, including:

  • Al pastor taco - Pineapple-achiote-marinated pork with avocado spread and tomatillo salsa served with Spanish rice and refried beans topped with queso fresco.

  • Buñuelos Biónico - Fried tortilla chips coated in cinnamon and sugar, loaded with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and sweetened condensed banana milk.

  • Cheese Quesadilla - Whole wheat tortilla filled with jack and cheddar cheese and served with a Cuties Mandarin Orange and applesauce and choice of small DASANI Water or small low-fat milk. (Kids Meal)

  • Loaded Chicken Quesadilla with achiote chicken and roasted peppers & onions, topped with chipotle crema, guacamole, and pico de gallo.

  • Achiote Half Chicken - Roasted achiote-marinated chicken served with Spanish rice, refried beans, and nopal salad.

  • Plant-based Carne Asada Wet Burrito: Marinated steak tips, Spanish rice, refried beans, and avocado crema topped with salsa verde and crema.
